The Head of Education of The Football Association visited the National Training Centre U-14 Coaching Staff Training Workshop

Mr. Chris Earle, the Head of Education of The Football Association (The FA) visited the Japan Football Association (JFA) National Training Centre U-14 Coaching Staff Training Workshop which was held in Tokinosumika, Gotemba city, Shizuoka prefecture on 16 March. Mr. Earle leads a series of training programmes including coach education at The FA. This visit was realised under the MoU signed in February 2016, with the FA to formalise a partnership between the two national associations.

In the morning, he visited the training venue to see practical sessions of the mentioned training workshop while receiving an explanation about JFA National Training system and coaching policies for youth categories. He also had a meeting with YAMAGUCHI Takafumi, JFA Technical Director, and MOCHIZUKI Kazuyori, JFA Instructor to share both associations’ coach education systems and their training sessions with each other.

Comment

Chris Earle (Head of Education of the Football Association)
It is a pleasure for me to visit Japan to meet coaches and staff members who are in charge of coach education of Japan shortly after the MoU to enhance the partnership between JFA and The FA in last February. This visit made me find our mutual challenges and some areas where we can collaborate. In the near future I would like to create a chance for the coaches from both associations to visit each country and exchange their know-how and experiences in coach education.
