On Thursday 21 April, Uzbekistan Futsal National Team arrived at Chubu International Airport to play in the International Friendly Tournament to be held at WING ARENA KARIYA in Kariya, Aichi.

The national team won the second place at the AFC Futsal Championship held in February in their home country, which ensured their spot in the FIFA Futsal World Cup Colombia 2016, as well as Vietnam Futsal National Team, to be held in Colombia in September.

Although the players looked tired after their long flight, the official training in the afternoon saw energetic plays from them.

They are scheduled to play against Vietnam Futsal National Team on Saturday 23 and Japan Futsal National Team on Sunday 24.

In developing your team, it’s very important to play against strong country teams. The Vietnam Futsal National Team have made a dramatic improvement recently and now we are as good as other good teams in Asia such as Japan and Iran. Playing against Japan and Vietnam is a great opportunity to improve ourselves in our preparation for the FIFA Futsal World Cup in September. The squad we have this time are based on the one we had for the AFC Futsal Championship in this February and also added two young players.

In addition, this event is very important for the friendship between the Uzbekistan Football Federation and the Japan Football Association. I was informed that the Japan Football Association is trying to bring the FIFA Futsal World Cup in 2020. For the development of futsal in Asia, we would like to support Japan’s effort.

The great futsal teams in Asia such as Vietnam and Japan are participating in this event, and I believe this is a great opportunity for our development for the FIFA Futsal World Cup to be held in September in Colombia. Fund raising begin to support damaged Kyushu, Kumamoto

To support the damaged areas and people from the earthquakes in Kumamoto, a fund raising will begin from 22nd April at the International Friendly Tournament. All the money raised in it will be donated to the relief fund account of Kumamoto Prefecture.

The Japan Futsal National Team officials will participate in the fund raising as well.
