Japan Futsal National Team had training on 23 April in Kariya.

On the previous day of 22nd, Japan eased to a 7-0 win over Vietnam, the opponents who crushed Japan's hope for the three-peat of the AFC Futsal Championship in the recent past. As it was just a day after a match, the squad finished their training in an hour with a light exercise including foot volleyball.

After the session, they all got together to watch the second half of the match between Vietnam and Uzbekistan and went through how the next counterparts were playing.

Although Uzbekistan were leading 1-0 until the closing stage of the match, Vietnam successfully came back with two goals with two minutes left. Everyone assumed Vietnam would edge the opponents, yet the match ended in a 2-2 draw with Uzbekistan's dramatic last-ditch equaliser.

As a result, Japan will seal the championship with a draw or win in the next match against Uzbekistan.

Fund raising begin to support damaged Kyushu, Kumamoto

To support the damaged areas and people from the earthquakes in Kumamoto, a fund raising will begin from 22nd April at the International Friendly Tournament. All the money raised in it will be donated to the relief fund account of Kumamoto Prefecture.

The Japan Futsal National Team officials will participate in the fund raising as well.
