U-16 Bangladesh Women’s National Women Team play in J-GREEN SAKAI Lady's Festival U-15

On Wednesday 25 January, the U-16 Bengali Women's National Team has arrived to Japan and stayed five nights in Osaka. The reason was to participate in the J-GREEN SAKAI Lady's Festival U-15 taking place at J-GREEN SAKAI sport complex. As the team has already secured a spot in the AFC U-16 Women's Championship 2017 to be held in this coming September in Thailand, their visit was as a preparation for this tournament. This was the first time for most of the players and staff members to visit Japan to enjoy their moments. Apparently, on the first day they looked a bit tense after the long trip from Dhaka to Osaka. Tremendously, from the second day onwards they showcased their naturally cheerful personalities along with powerful performances in their trainings and matches each day.

Golam Robbani Choton, Coach
I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the Japan Football Association for giving us a wonderful opportunity to play in the J-GREEN SAKAI Lady's Festival U-15. Through this tournament, our players were able to experience high-level football that we usually can't experience in Bangladesh. I believe we've got a lot out of this trip ahead of the AFC U-16 Women's Championship 2017. It was undoubtedly a valuable experience for the Bangladesh Football Association. I would like to thank again all the staff members of the Japan Football Association, J-GREEN SAKAI and Dream Camp.

Paul Smalley, Assistant Coach
This trip was a precious experience for Bangladesh National Women's U-16 Team. Including the matches against the Japanese women's teams that we can't usually experience, we were able to experience foreign culture and professionalism. The hospitality we received at our lodging was wonderful, which helped us focus 100% on football. Bangladesh football is still in the midst of development, and we are looking forward to use this trip as the stepping stone for our future. I would like to thank again the Japan Football Association for giving us this precious opportunity.

In this trip, I had a wonderful experience playing matches against the Japanese teams who we usually don’t have a chance to face. I hope this leads to my future dream to contribute to Bangladesh through football.

Srimoti Krisunarani
I was surprised how great the facilities at the JFA Academy were. We faced a lot of Japanese women's teams, and winning against JFA Academy Sakai was a precious experience that I believe leads to our future. I fully enjoyed this trip.
