The El Salvador National Team, who will play the SAMURAI BLUE (Japan National Team) in the KIRIN CHALLENGE CUP 2023 on Thursday 15 June at Toyota Stadium (Aichi), arrived in Japan on Sunday 11 June.

The team arrived at Chubu Centrair International Airport at noon on 11 June and were transferred to their hotel. The team started their training on the following day to prepare for the match.

The KIRIN CHALLENGE CUP 2023 match between the SAMURAI BLUE and the El Salvador National Team is scheduled to kick off at 19:10 on Thursday 15 June.

It has been 30 years since I last visited Japan, but I have the impression that their culture is wonderful, and the people are kind and polite. The impression of the Japan National Team is that they are very high level and have achieved excellent results in the World Cup. We have a technical and competent group of players. This opportunity to play against a high level team like Japan will serve as a crucial match for us as we prepare for the upcoming Gold Cup. We want to showcase a solid performance that will be considered as a worthy opponent for Japan.

As for the Japan National Team, I feel that they have many talented players who are capable of performing well at the world level.
