As part of the Referee Exchange Programme with Qatar for the first time, referee – Mr. Khamis Mohammed AL- Marri came to Japan and officiated international friendlies and J-League matches. While many Japanese referees are old acquaintances and have extensive experience in coming to Japan for the FIFA World Cup Asian qualifiers and the AFC Champions League, Mr. Al Marri enjoyed new exchanges and findings through participation in training camp with Japanese professional referees and refereeing with other Japanese referees for the first time in new stadiums. On his day off, he paid a courtesy visit to JFA President TASHIMA Kohzo and J.League Chairman Mr. NONOMURA Yoshikazu.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Japan Football Association for hosting me and giving me the opportunity to officiate games in Japan. The Referee Exchange Program between JFA/QFA has been a great success, and I am honored to have been invited to participate in some games in the J.League and the Kirin Challenge Cup.

I trust that I have shared some helpful practices with JFA referees, and I have learned some valuable knowledge as an outcome. Thank you for helping me to develop and improve my knowledge and skills as a referee, and I look forward to continuing our successful cooperation in the future.

The purpose of the exchange program is to mutually provide refereeing experience and training opportunities in different cultures and match environments, with the aim of improving refereeing in the future and promoting friendly relations between the two countries.
