Two coaches take up new duty overseas in spring 2016
15 April 2016
The JFA has been dispatching coaches to Asian countries as part of its Asian contribution project under the aspiration of "giving a bright future to children through football as well as promoting and developing Asian football." Here we introduce two coaches who took up the coaching role in Nepal or Bhutan this March or April.
Coaches' Comments
GYOTOKU Koji, Coach (Nepal National Team)
Last April, Nepal was devastated by a huge earthquake. The national stadium was also damaged and is currently unavailable for use. Even though people are still having challenging days, Nepalese are passionate about football. Many people enjoy football and look forward to the performance of their National Teams. To give hope to people and for the future of Nepalese football, I will try to build a strong National Team together with All Nepal Football Association led by Acting President Mr. Shrestha and local coaches.
LEE Song Jun, Coach (U-14 & U-17 Bhutan National Teams)
I had always wanted to coach football overseas and contribute to the development of Asian football for many years, and now I have this opportunity to take up a coach role in Bhutan. During a meeting that I had in Bhutan with Mr. Dorji, President of Bhutan Football Federation and his staff, I strongly felt their enthusiasm on player development because players are the future of Bhutan football. With the challenging spirit and eagerness of learning, I will make my best efforts to contribute to football in this beautiful Bhutan.
