Six delegates of the Yunnan Football Association, including Vice President Chang Lin and General Secretary Guo Qiang, visited Japan to receive lectures about the activities of the 47 Prefectural Football Associations in Japan and the development of young players between Monday 12 and Thursday 15 September. 

On 13 September, they visited JFA House and received lectures on the foundation and organizational structure of the JFA and the relationship between the 47 Prefectural Football Associations and the JFA from the staff members of the 47 Prefectural Football Associations and 9 Regional Football Associations. After the lecture, they had time to visit the Japan Football Museum. In the afternoon, a staff from the Tokyo Football Association explained about their activities and their collaborations with local club teams in their area.

On 14 September, the delegation moved to JFA Academy FUKUSHIMA and learned about the coaching method and development of the young players. 

JFA will continue this type of international exchange program for the development of football in Asia.

Guo Qiang, General Secretary
We decided to receive the overseas training program in Japan, as their level of football is one of the highest in Asia. In addition, we wanted to learn more about their approaches of developing young players. In the lectures, we acquired the information necessary to improve and develop the Yunnan Football Association. After returning to Yunnan, we will take a step-by-step approach in promoting the development of our association. Lastly, I would like to express my gratitude to JFA for giving us this wonderful opportunity.

I would like to thank the JFA and their staff members for accepting our visit. Through this program, we have learned many things that are necessary for promoting football in Yunnan. This will be an important step for the development of our football. Lastly, we hope to continue cooperating with the JFA for more developments.
