Coaches’ Comments
Chyna Ramirez, Head Coach
We are truly grateful for this opportunity to have our players develop their football skills in such a wonderful training environment. I hope to bring back the experience I gained here to further develop my coaching skills and return to Japan one day. The facilities at Teijin Academy Fuji were amazing and we are deeply grateful to JFA for all the support they have provided. Since it is rare to experience such high-level matches in Guam, players were given a valuable learning experience in Japan. We will make the most of the experience we gained at this camp and continue to train hard in Guam.
Keleko Fejeran, Assistant Coach
It was a great opportunity for the players and staff to play against much superior teams throughout our stay in Japan. This training camp provided a great opportunity for the players to concentrate on improving their skills. We will take back what we have learned here and continue to work hard to improve ourselves in Guam. Also, we are very grateful for the opportunity to watch and learn from the training sessions ran by the coaches of JFA Academy Fukushima.
Players' Comments
Ariya Cruz, Team Captain of Guam Women's National Team
This training camp provided us with a great learning experience, both as a team and as individuals. I want to thank my team for all the hard work they have put in during the training sessions. This camp also provided us with a great opportunity to learn about Japanese football, culture, and lifestyle. Despite the disappointing outcomes of the matches, I am grateful to be able to continue training with this team.
Samantha Kenney, Team Captain of U-20 Guam Women's National Team
I had a great time at this camp. I am very grateful for the opportunity to play football at Teijin Academy Fuji and to experience Japanese culture and lifestyle. I am also honoured to learn how the Japanese players made mental adjustments and how they behaved themselves off the pitch.
