Coaches from Chinese Football Association come to see JFA licensed coaches training courses
20 January 2015
Three members from the Chinese Football Association, including staff and coaches came to stay for approximately one month from 30 November 2014 in Tokyo and Shizuoka, in order to see the licensed coaches training courses hosted by the Japan Football Association. During their stay, they joined not only the training courses for class B, class A, class A U-12 and class S coaches, but also visited a training course for youth directors of the 47 Prefectural Football Associations. In each session, they exchanged their opinions with the instructors or the participants and built close relations with Japanese football staff.
This group, which came to see the licensed coaches training courses, was the last one of the observation programme with the Chinese Football Association that had lasted for four months from last September.
This visit is part of the long-term training programme, which is funded by the Japan Foundation. The Japan Foundation supports arts and cultural exchange, the study of Japan, and intellectual exchange all over the world. The JFA Women's International Coaching Course 2014, which was held in March, and the observation of Japanese women’s football by the Chinese Football Association, including professional teams, grass-root level and youth development, from last September to November were also subsidised by the Japan Foundation.

Wang XinLuo, head of delegation/technical staff from the Chinese Football Association
The observation programme, in which the Chinese Football Association visited the Japan Football Association’s activities for four months from last September, is done and dusted. All the members had precious experiences and learned useful things during the visit to five groups – women’s football, professional football, grass-root level, youth development, and coach training. I’m extremely grateful to the Japanese Football Association for preparing productive schedules and excellent facilities for each group. This programme wouldn’t have happened without help from the Japan Foundation. I’d like to keep developing relations between China and Japan, so that we can contribute not only to our countries, but also to Asian football.
Zhang Peng, inspection staff from the Chinese Football Association
I’m very grateful that I could come to see JFA licensed coaches training courses. I think I built close relations with the instructors and the applicants through the observation of training courses for Class B, Class A, Class A U-12, Class S and 47 Youth Directors. I learned a lot and had a really good experience during the month. During the stay, the Japanese football staff members in the Japanese football industry were all very kind. I‘m grateful for the enjoyable and productive visit.
Liu Gang, observation staff member of the Chinese Football Association/Technical Director of the Chengdu Football Association
During the stay, I felt strong passion for football from the Japanese staff. As I learned the principles on which the whole of Japanese football is built, I realised that the system for youth development and coach training based on these principles is well-equipped. In particular, I think the coach licence for the class A U-12, which is Japanese original, will help Japanese football to develop greatly. I’d like to bring what I learned here back home to China, and contribute to Chinese football development.
