JENESYS 2015 Japan-ASEAN U-14 Girls Football Exchange Programme has kicked off

“Japan-ASEAN U-14 Girls Football Exchange Programme”, as part of the JFA’s commitment to support “JENESYS 2015” promoted by Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, started its events on Saturday 12 March at Tokinosumika Sports Centre in Gotenba, Shizuoka. The two opening matches were held ; U-14 Laos Women’s National Team against Azul Claro Numazu U-14 and U-14 Myanmar Women’s National Team against U-14 Philippines Women’s National Team. This entire programme is designed to promote women’s football in Japan and ASEAN countries.
Other than the two matches above, two more matches were held on the same day. One was U-14 Malaysia Women’s National Team against JFA Academy Women’s U14 and the other one was U-14 Cambodia Women’s National Team against U-14 Singapore Women’s National Team. The ASEAN countries players who arrived in Japan on the previous day played aggressively even in a cold temperature below 10 degrees Celsius.
Beside the seven ASEAN countries, federation officers and coaches from Brunei, East Timor and Vietnam visit Japan. They watched a training match between Yokohama FC Seagulls and Orca Kamogawa FC held at Tokinosumika on the same day. After the training match, a lecture and discussion session with Yokohama FC Seagulls’ general manager OKUDERA Yasuhiko on the management of women’s football club and other relating issues were held.
Sunday 13 is scheduled to see four matches as well among participating teams.
