JFA Academy regional activities

The JFA Academy functions as 'a football centre' for the regional football associations, in order to achieve the aims of the '2005 JFA Declaration'. As part of its mission and policies, it offers a base for coaching developments, training centre activities, kids’ football and promoting football in general. In this article, we introduce the staff-training workshop for the Kyushu training centre, which was held on 14 and 15 June.

HASHIKAWA Kazuaki National training centre coach for Kyushu
This workshop offers an opportunity for staff from each association to learn the concept of the national training centre and its training content, and pursue quality through practical coaching. I expect that many players, who have a good knowledge of the basics, will be motivated and developed by coaching in the regional centres using the same scheme as the national training centre.

KAWAMURA Takashi Kyushu training centre staff (Okinawa)
This workshop is held every year, focusing on the practical coaching. I really felt it was beneficial, sharing a training ‘mindset’ with the Kyushu area through practical coaching sessions and discussions, not to mention the introduction of the NTC U-14 training session. I will do my best at coaching football, always remembering that I’m grateful to attend this workshop and that I’m responsible for spreading the knowledge I have acquired to my prefecture.

FURUJYO Rika Kyushu training centre staff for women (Kagoshima)
The staff of the Kyushu training centre for women attends this workshop every year. This time I found it especially important to pursue quality through practice based around a consistent concept. When it comes to the key points, there’s no difference in coaching for boys or girls. I’d like to spread the knowledge, which I got in this workshop, to the prefectural and regional training centres for women.
