JFA Academy regional activities - Official Class A Coach U-12 training course
20 June 2014
The JFA Academy functions as 'a football centre' for the regional football associations, in order to achieve the aims of ‘The JFA Declaration, 2005'. As part of its mission and policies, it offers a base for coaching developments, training centre activities, kids’ football and promoting football in general. In this article, we introduce the ‘Official Class A Coach U-12 training course (Academy Kumamoto-Uki Course)’.

We host the Official Class A Coach U-12 training course in order to raise future leaders as well as coaching specialists at the U-12 level. We also aim to train some people, so that they can act as leaders in managing games and the training environment for U-12s in their regions.

Today was the first day of the Official Class A Coach U-12 training course. When I attend the course, I feel nervous about the actual practice. However, I’m excited as well and expect that I’ll understand more about football and meet new people. I’d like to know more about football and coaching techniques through this training. I’ll take back the knowledge, I learn here, to the children in Nagasaki.

This training is aimed at imparting the importance of the U-12 level among coaches and reflecting that in activities in their respective regions, and therefore achieving the aims of ‘The JFA Declaration, 2005'. As a coach for the U-12 level, I’d like to learn a lot for the players by understanding the standards practiced around the world and pursuing the Japanese way in everyday training.
