Head Coach & Player Comments

Head Coach: Hoshihara TAkaaki
After the 2nd day of the tournament, we became 3rd in the group league and have had matches against Brunei and Myanmar. I felt the growth of the team with every match focusing on "Total football". Besides, I think it was a very good experience for our players to have felt the improved quality of ASEAN countries participating in this tournament.

Awano Kento(Vegalta Sendai Junior Youth)
We could carry the ball aroud the goal area with buildup against Brunei and we made many chances moving the ball around midfield with the intention of side attack. But we had missed passes in the definitive offence phase and couldn't finish with shoots. To me personally, I could get involved in buildup and move the ball with good team combination taking advantage of one-touch passes and so forth. Against Myanmar, we could shift to offence by getting the ball, which their GK kicked, in the midfield and defence area. Also, we succeeded in getting the ball with the whole team combination by not giving them pass course as we worked on defence from the front. I think we should improve the quality of final ball. We also want to improve the keeping-the-ball level in order not to lose the ball in the midfield. We need more dribbling training and it'll be great if we can play carefully without losing the ball.
