National Training Centre U-14 first half – Camp report (Eastern Japan)

The third day report for National Training Centre U-14 first half is from the Eastern Japan (Hokkaido, Tohoku). 36 players of National Training Centre in Eastern Japan are taking part in the camp at “Naka Satsunai Koryu-No-Mori”, located close to Tokachi-Obihiro Airport, Hokkaidao. As National Training Center program goes into latter half of the training, the players looked bit tired but they are highly motivated and aggressively working on the training. As they watched the video of the training at the night time meeting, they shared what’s achieved and what’s need to challenge, in preparation for the last day of the training.
You can tell the players are showing their progress in a short amount of time by advice from the coaches but also by inspirations among team members.

Comments by Coach, Players

YAMAHASHI Takashi, Coach (JFA National Training Centre Coach, Hokkaido Chief)
We could hold third day training with a concentration, for both in the morning and the afternoon. The players proactively worked on the training and showed firm intention of improving themselves.
I learned about the activities and rule of the referee at Referee Session last night. I look forward to holding last day training with the players playing hard and become a player who understands the rule and pay their respects to the referee.

KOSAKA Norihiro, Coach (Tohoku National Training Centre Staff)
It has been meaningful training, for starting with simulation on the first day of the training, finding new things and reminding me of the basics as well as exchanging inspiration.
Now that three day training is over, I began to see the positive changes in the players. I am going to have more communication with the players both on the pitch and off the pitch, and spend one more training day for brushing up my coaching skill so that I can assist them in growing themselves.

KUDO Aoi (U-14 Player)
Having being selected in Tohoku Training Centre and playing with the players in Hokkaido, I discovered three things I have to improve. They are; the angle of the body when getting the pass, the accuracy of pass, the timing of receiving the pass. I want to brush up these skills by training every day.
I owe largely to my parents for me to come to the Training Center Camp. I hope to express my thanks and keep playing football.

HONMA Yohei (U-13 players)
My goal of the camp is to play aggressively for what I’ve been doing in the team I belong to. During three day training, when playing with all the high quality players, I realized I can’t play better in the next play unless you can pass or trap accurately in every single play. I think, as far as the defense is concerned on which I focused to have worked, I was successful in giving advice with big voice to players in front lines.
One more day to go, I will do my best and work on training to become a good player as much as I can.
