Seven disability football organisations integrate their national team kits

Seven disability football organisations integrate their national team kits

The Japan Inclusive Football Federation (JIFF) held the unified kit rollout presentation for the seven disability football organisations’ national teams on Thursday 29 June at JFA house.

The Japan national teams from each disability football field had worn different kits in design, but their national team kits were integrated into the same design in accordance with the launch of the JIFF in April 2016, which governs the seven disability organisations of the nation. Adidas Japan K.K has decided to provide the new aligned kit for the disability football national teams.

At the presentation, national team players from each organisation appeared to express their pleasure of wearing the kit as well as talk about their aspirations.

Following the presentation, a send-off party for the powerchair football national team took place ahead of the 3rd FIPFA World Cup 2017. Eight players who are set to play in the new kits went on stage to express their determinations along with the Japan Powerchair Football Association (JPFA) president YOSHINO Tadanori, coach ASAOKA Toshiaki and other team staff. The national team will take off on Friday 20 June for the host city Kissimmee, Florida, USA. The progress of the tournament is scheduled to be reported via the JPFF official Facebook and Twitter accounts. You can't miss their enthusiastic plays.

NAKAI Kento, Japan Deaf Football National Team
I'm very happy to see the kit unified for the seven-disability football thanks to understanding and cooperation of many people involved. And I'm grateful to the people who provided this wonderful presentation opportunity. Looking at this large size of the audience here today reminded me that disability football is drawing more and more attention. When I saw this kit, I strongly thought that hopefully we, as the same football family, would be able to motivate and support each other with other disability football more than before. Deaflympics is going to take place in July for Deaf football. We will get good results at the tournament as well as the Powerchair football's world cup beginning next week and hopefully we can prove the new version of Japan teams with this kit is great. I will keep what happened today to myself and keep up my work.

SHIOIRI Shinya, Japan Powerchair Football National Team
Putting on the Japan national team kit, I became refreshed and brace myself. This is the kit that will reflect the future of each organisation, and will be the big goal for players who are to be determined to win at the world level wearing this. It is my first time and an honour to take part in this kind of send-off ceremony. The World Cup in the USA will be a tough tournament, but we will go all out as a team. Thank you everyone for your support.
