Rules of the Championship |
[1st Round] 48 teams from 47 prefectures, 2 teams will join from Ibaraki Prefecture which won the Championship last year, will be divided in 12 groups for the 1st round group league. [2nd Round] 24 teams, which consist of the 2 top teams of each 1st round group leagues, will be divided into 8 groups for the 2nd round group league. [Final Tournament] The teams which finish top in each of the 2nd round groups will play in the matches to select top 3 teams in a knock out competition format. However, there will be no third-place play off. |
