League System
Twenty teams selected throughout the nation will be divided into two 10-team leagues, and will play a round-robin home and away format (180 games). The bottom two teams in each league will be automatically relegated to the Prince League in the following year. Based on the points earned at the national tournaments in the past three years, the designated number of top teams in the Prince League in each region will qualify for the 16-team promotion matches, and the top four teams there will make a berth in the following year’s league.

The participating teams are the top eight teams each from the 2014 Premier League EAST and WEST and the four teams who won the promotion matches played among top teams from the Prince League’s nine regions.
Note: The total number of teams allocated to the regions based on above is 20.
Hokkaido: 1, Tohoku: 1, Kanto: 6, Tokai: 3, Kansai: 6, Chugoku: 1, Kyushu: 2.
