Beach Soccer Japan National Team squad training camp in Okinawa - second day report (19 Oct)
20 October 2014

The players of the Beach Soccer Japan National Team squad participated in the second day of their training camp.
It was clear sky from the morning. They had mainly physical training in the morning, and checked their playing strategies in the afternoon.
After the morning training session, the players played a friendly game with the local children, who came to see their practice. There were smiles all round, even though the training camp itself had been very tough. In the afternoon, the player had a practice match in order to check their playing strategies. The head coach had to stop the match occasionally to instruct the players in a loud voice about positions and movement.

Comments
KOMAKI Masayuki (TOKYO LEQUIOS BS)
Today we started with some physical training and moved on to some formations and other practices, which required more mental exercises. So, I felt quite tired physically and mentally. I think it’s vital that each player understands the strategy of the coach and the aim of the training. In the remaining two days I’d like to get to the stage where we can play with a united mind in future matches and championships.
GINOZA Tomoya (TOKYO LEQUIOS BS)
The atmosphere of the team is very good, as it’s been a while since we came to Okinawa last time and the environment here is just amazing. We’ve been having a really useful time, doing some physical training and checking our playing strategies. I’d like us to apply ourselves even more closely to the training as a united team from tomorrow, in order to bring what the coach Marcelo wants in terms of the game in preparation for the coming World Cup next year.
GOTO Takasuke (TOKYO LEQUIOS BS)
I’m very pleased that I’ve been having a fulfilling time here.
We shouldn’t be satisfied even if our shots and passes are only successful nine times out of ten. In practice sessions, we’re keeping that in mind and putting some pressure on ourselves. I’d like to play my style on top of what we’ve been told to do by the coach.
As the food at the hotel is brilliant, I’ll get enough energy to get through to the end of this camp, trying not to eat too much.
YAMAUCHI Shusei (G.C.Nerine)
Although it’s been a while since we got together last time for the training camp, we started with a good atmosphere from our first day. We did a lot on our second day as well. As we all know what we have to do as a team, I think we will become a strong team, if we continue to share our vision. From now, it’s vital to try and succeed in actual matches what we’ve been practicing. To play and win internationally, one needs confidence, a strong mentality, daily hard work and a challenging mind. In the remaining two days, we’d like to practice harder in preparation for our future. Your support will be much appreciated.
