Japan beach football team work hard in training camp in Okinawa

On Day 3 of the training camp, the Japan national beach football team had two-a-day trainings in the morning and afternoon as they did so on the previous day. They worked on tactical training from the morning.
In their meeting on the previous night, the head coach told the players, ``It doesn’t matter if you are a younger player or a veteran player as far as you are on this national team. While everybody is your rival, all of you need you and mates that help with each other. Let’s get serious about making the world. In order to achieve that, let’s be particular about every single play in this training camp.’’ The players harshly demanded more with each other, praised when they showed good plays, and exchanged relentless voices with each other when they made mistakes. Occasionally, they severely competed as if they were playing in an actual game, showing their spirits.

Comments

MOREIRA Ozu (TOKYO LEQUIOS BS)
It’s our first training camp in a while since we went to Portugal. This time, we were given detailed instructions from our coach on our balance between our offence and defence and rotations among others. Our strength is fast attacking from defence, so if we repeat it to raise the quality, we are going to have more chances to score. We also worked a lot on our set plays. Set plays are also efficient way of scoring, so we want to work on it firmly to get in games going forward.

TAKIGUCHI Takashi (NO SOCKS YOKOHAMA)
Like yesterday, we went through some practice menus that gave us loads on our bodies, but we have gotten used to it better. As we did in today’s practice, while we have certain things we always have to be particular like set plays and how we are supposed to move, I think I would like to do what I’m asked, not losing my own self. Tomorrow’s is the last day, and both as the team and an individual, we want to end the camp in a great fashion so we can move forward, and do what we are supposed to do, plus put up what I can do myself, keeping our concentrations.

HARAGUCHI Shotaro (TOKYO LEQUIOS BS)
First of all, I appreciate that we’ve been able to have this training camp with the supports from so many people in this wonderful environments. Today, we had an emphasis on our set plays. By elaborating the set plays, I think we increase our strengths. In tomorrow’s training match, we are not only going to focus on what we did in today’s training, but we also want to exhibit what we’ve done. I am going to contribute to the team, capitalizing on my own strengths.

MATSUO Naoya (Pracia YAMAGUCHI)
On the third day of the training camp, we mainly worked on our set plays and played intra-squad games. In order to win in the World Cup, I think that it’ll be important to be able to score off set plays even when you are playing in tough competitive games. I think that it’ll be the same in tomorrow’s practice game, so I want to work on it keeping my concentration. During the intra-squad games, I felt that what I was aware of and what coach was asking me to do was the same, so I tried to aggressively have challenge even if I made some mistakes. Certainly in tomorrow’s practice game, but I want to boldly try to score goals in our next tournament.
