Japan Beach Soccer National Team’s activity report from Asian Beach Games (9/26)

27 September 2016

Japan Beach Soccer National Team’s activity report from Asian Beach Games (9/26)

On 26 September, the Japan Beach Soccer National Team, who is competing in the Asian Beach Games, had light preparation session on the beach near their accommodation.

One night after the match against Afghanistan, the Japanese players warmed-up with light jogging on the beach, stretching, and going through core exercises in a relaxed and recreational mood.

The team then had a four-a-side foot volleyball game in a beach volleyball court.

Goalkeepers had regular training session for one hour with the team’s goalkeeper assistant coach to get ready for the next match against China.

In the afternoon, the team went to see the China-Afghanistan match and checked on their next opponents, the Chinese beach soccer squad.

Japan’s second match of the group stage against the China Beach Soccer National Team will kick off at 14:30 on 27 September at the Second Official Pitch of the Asian Beach Games.

Players' Comments

FP #6 MATSUO Naoya (Aveldage Kumamoto BS)
Since we finished the previous match against Afghanistan yesterday in a positive way, we had practice sessions in a relaxed mood today. The atmosphere was excellent, as we solely focused our practice on physical recovery. We will recover from any tiredness from the previous match and have another positive experience in the next match against China tomorrow.

FP #3 HARAGUCHI Shotaro (Inter Japan BS)
Focusing on the physical recovery during our training session today, I feel that I fully recovered from any fatigue competing the previous match. Tomorrow we will play against China and it will be the last one of the qualification round. Just like the previous match against Afghanistan, we will do our best to showcase our style of beach soccer.
