On Saturday 9 November, the Beach Soccer Stars 2019, hosted by the Beach Soccer World Wide (BSWW) was held in Dubai, UAE, where MOREIRA Ozu was named as this year’s Best Five.
After winning the award in 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2018, this was Moreira’s fifth Best Five award. As a member of Tokyo Verdy BS, Moreira led the club to winning the JFA Japan Beach Soccer Tournament and Beach Soccer Regional League Championship in back to back years. Also, as a member of the Japan Beach Soccer National Team, he scored his 100th goal at the first ANOC World Beach Games Qatar 2019, while reaching his 100th cap at the Intercontinental Beach Soccer Cup this month. He will be leading the Japan Beach Soccer National Team at this month’s FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Paraguay 2019 as the team captain.
