Yoshikawa joins Japan Futsal National Team training camp on its 5th day
24 January 2016
The fifth day of the camp first had a photo session with the new national team uniform before the training get started. New outfit certainly helped the squad realise that a series of important matches is really getting started. This day’s training focused on drills with balls. As part of the warm-up, the players engaged in a 2-on-1 drill where the number of players involved later changed to 3-on-2.
Later on, they engaged for 20 minutes in a drill which had three offensive players faced three defenders first and then move on to a outnumbering situation facing only two defenders. With a scrimmage as the last assignment of the day, 100-minute session finished. Each player showed a great deal of focus in each play and attempted to communicate well with each other.

SEKIGUCHI Yushi (ESPOLADA HOKKAIDO)
Yesterday we started practising with balls, and we want to keep taking good workouts for the AFC Futsal Championship. Then Tomoki (YOSHIKAWA Tomoki) joined us and we had a team meeting with everybody there. We set our goal together and shared it with everyone on this team. Our goal is to get the World Cup spot and win the third straight AFC Futsal Championship. We will work hard for it. First we have a friendly against Colombia. It’s one of the rare matches for us to play in Japan. We will show good performance, so I would like many people to support us.
NAKAMURA Yusuke (NAGOYA OCEANS)
Today was the fifth day of the camp, and the level of intensity got higher and higher. We will polish even more what we have already done as a team, and keep doing the best preparation possible for the international friendly and the AFC Futsal Championship coming up. We will do our best together as a team to achieve our goal.
YOSHIKAWA Tomoki (MAGNA GURPEA/Spain)
I arrived in Japan in the night of 22, and today I joined the training. Before the training today, we had a team meeting at the hotel to make sure our objective in the AFC Futsal tournament once again. That really put our mindsets together. I arrived at this camp a little late, so I want to get back in shape as soon as possible. To come out for the AFC Futsal Championship with my best conditioning, first I want to do well in the Colombia match.
