Beach Soccer Japan National Team take Europe tour (24 July)
25 July 2014
On Thursday 24 July, the Beach Soccer Japan National Team arrived at Espinho, Portugal to participate in the BSWW Mundialito 2014.
One-hour training session on the day started with checking the sands on the venue. Once completing the warm-up, the team took on the game-style practice going through the systems such as 3-1 and 2-2, which they had worked on so far.
While some of the members were not fit after a long trip, Japan’s head coach Marcelo gave instructions to accelerate decisions and pace of play. Players talked to and fired up each other, and raised the level of concentration on the matches starting tomorrow.
Since the new amended rule will be applied from this championship, the players tried to get a clear understanding of it during the training.
After the training session, all players and staff members went for cleaning beaches around the stadium. Beach soccer can only exist with a clean beach. That surely sent out a message that we keep our beaches clean with our own hands.
