Japan U-17 Women's National Team receive the 2014 AFC Women’s National Team of the Year award, SUGITA Hina for the AFC Women’s Youth Player of the Year award

The Asian Football Association (AFC) held part of “the AFC Annual Award 2014” ceremony on Wed. 5 November in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. Japan U-17 Women’s National Team who won the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2014 was given the 2014 AFC Women’s National Team of the Year award and SUGITA Hina (Fujieda Junshin High School) for the AFC Women’s Youth Player of the Year award respectively.
This ceremony was conducted coinciding with “AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2014 Workshop” and the rest of “the AFC Annual Award 2014” is scheduled on Sunday 30 November in Manila, Philippine.

Not satisfying with this superb result, I am committed to create a good environment in which players can develop theirs skill and eager to contribute to development and enhancement of women’s football in the future.

I am very happy to receive such wonderful award. But understanding real battles has yet to come, I am going to aim for higher goal by brushing up my skills of every single play and become a tougher player for confronting outstanding issues, not escaping them.
*Japan U-17 Women’s National Team was disbanded after the competition in April 2014.
