Japan Futsal National Team shortlisted squad training camp report (9/7)

Japan Futsal National Team shortlisted squad training camp report (9/7)

Japan Futsal National Team shortlisted squad launched its training camp in Beppu, Oita prefecture. For this camp, 18 players were called up and have training sessions for 3 days until 9 September.

As a part of the training, they will have two training matches against Malaysia Futsal National Team on 8 and 9 September. They are expected to strengthen the team through these matches for the AFC Futsal Championship which will be held in February 2016.

For the first day, the players started the training with running and focused on physical recovery. Then they had pass exercises all together and in the end they had a practice game. After the training, WATANABE Tomoaki (DALIAN YUANCHAO) stayed on the pitch and had further shooting exercise to check his shooting sensibility and condition.

It has been 3 months since the last training camp in June, but the team’s atmosphere is already good with good level of communication amongst players including some new players such as SHIMIZU Kazuya (FUGADOR SUMIDA).

Players' Comments

SEKIGUCHI Yushi (ESPOLADA HOKKAIDO)
It has been 3 months from the last camp. It’s always nice to play for the team and I enjoy it a lot. Today we have had lighter sessions. As a goalkeeper I did well by winning the Peradon (games) we had today 5-1 and I can say that I’m in a good condition now. We are having 2 matches against Malaysia from tomorrow so I will show how much I can do to be selected for the squad again in the future.

NAKAMURA Yusuke (NAGOYA OCEANS)
Since we had F. League matches last weekend, we just had recovery sessions today. The matches against Malaysia from tomorrow are very important since we don’t have many chances to play against foreign teams usually, I will do my best to improve myself in this given opportunity. We have only 3 days for this camp, but I will maximise each day of the camp.

SHIMIZU Kazuya (FUGADOR SUMIDA)
I was nervous at first since I am joining the squad camp for the first time, but I have done the first day. I appreciate my teammates and staff members for supporting me. For the two matches against Malaysia, I will actively communicate with my teammates to get more familiar with the team as soon as possible.
