Chinese coaches visit J.League clubs
10 November 2014
Coaches from the Chinese Football Association (CFA) came to Japan on 15 September to pay visits to J.League clubs and observe Class S license workshops during their three-week stay.
They visited the clubhouse of three J.League clubs: Kawasaki Frontale, Yokohama F. Marinos and Urawa Reds to listen to a briefing on each club and its development policy as well as to see each organisation’s senior team training. During weekends, they went to attend J.League matches to learn the game-day management. Additionally, the Chinese coaches participated in Class S development workshops as observers and deepened exchanges with Japanese coaches.
This visit was realised as a long-term exchange programme through a grant from the Japan Foundation. The Japan Foundation has organised and supported a number of international exchange events regarding culture, art, Japanese study as well as intellectual exchanges in various countries. The JFA Women's International Coaching Course 2014 of last March and the CFA’s women's football tour of last September were also supported by the Japan Foundation. The CFA is planning to dispatch more delegation teams to Japan to observe youth development in November and coach development courses in December.

Zeng Min, Captain of Chinese Football Association Delegation
I could understand the Japanese pro football more deeply as this programme included visits to multiple J.League clubs. We will keep having such valuable opportunities in the future as well to strengthen the relationship between China and Japan and hopefully contribute to the Asian football development. I would like to give my appreciation to people who are concerned for this opportunity of learning the Japanese pro football.
Xu Tao, Member of Chinese Football Association Delegation
Japanese football has continued to move toward their goal, and football in Japan seems to be part of people’s life and culture. I believe the J.League is one of the cleanest leagues in the world. I look forward to seeing the further development of Japanese football.
