Japan Futsal National Team wrap up Aichi training camp

Japan Futsal National Team went through the final day of the training camp in Aichi Prefecture, holding two-a-day training in the morning and afternoon. Continuing from the previous day, they checked their strategies with practical game-style menus using the ball and worked on their set plays during the morning session. Coach Miguel stopped their plays during the set play practices so many times, telling them some ideas toward their game against Colombia.

In the afternoon, the field players and goalkeepers had separate practices. The field players worked on circuit menus with the instructions of physical coach MURAOKA. It was 40 minute menus, but the players seemed to be working on them with high concentration even in the short time. The three goalkeepers used the sub marina, which was attached to the main facility, working on separate menus, which emphasized on training goalkeepers developing their quickness. They will travel to Tokyo tomorrow and get to work in an official practice session. With the AFC Futsal Championship in sight, the players will take on Colombia in a friendly. The main event will get underway soon.

Players' Comments

FUJIWARA Jun (BARDRAL URAYASU)
Our week-long training camp in Nagoya have come to an end. We mainly got to work on training to develop our physical base, and I feel so tired with my body compared in our previous camps. Yet all this is meant for winning in the AFC Futsal Championship, so it was such a meaningful training camp for us. We would like to have good preparation and go in the Colombia game. Hopefully, we'll get a lot of support from the fans.

HOSHI Shota (BARDRAL URAYASU)
We've done physical training toward the AFC Futsal Championship so far. We've done very tough menus but have been able to overcome them by talking to each other and that's going to good preparation when we have tough times and it leads to our confidence. Everything we've done is to open a new chapter by winning a berth in the World Cup as well as completing a three-peat in the AFC Futsal Championship. We would like to do everything we potentially can on a daily basis, and play in the Colombia on the 27th holding pride.

NIBUYA Kazuhiro (VASAGEY OITA)
We've done our trainings with concentration in order to capture the title at the AFC Futsal Championship. After yesterday's training, we went to a public bath to remove our fatigue from our daily training. I'm from Oita Prefecture, which is famous for hot springs, and was extremely consoled. I would like to keep pushing myself in every practice and pile up good preparation.
