Japan national under category team coaches assemble for staff meeting

The Japan Football Association hosted a coaching staff meeting for the national under-age categories teams on 10 June.

In the annual meeting, the coaches for all the under category teams (U-23 to U-15), led by NISHINO Akira, JFA National Technical Director, assembled and exchanged their opinions. In this particular meeting, as the game regulations had been renewed at last month’s JFA board meeting, OGAWA Yoshimi, the chairman of the Referee’s Committee of JFA, explained the contents to the coaches. In order to accurately recognize the differences with the previous rules, the coaches raised many questions.

They then moved on to the current reports from each category, sharing on what they did in their team trips as well as the outcomes and issues. While each category has domestic and overseas activities, they seldom have a chance to discuss what they do as they don’t really get together. So it was a valuable occasion for them this time. The coaches will try to raise their teams’ levels based on what they discussed in this meeting.
