OIWA Go, Head Coach U-22 Japan National Team
This will be the fourth European tour for this U-22 Japan National Team. They will play two matches against very strong countries (England and the Netherlands). We are grateful to all the clubs and universities who have cooperated with us to meet the very difficult schedule, despite the matches being scheduled outside the international window set by FIFA. These matches were made possible through a number of circumstances, and although the match against England will be played behind closed doors, we are anticipating to play an intense match. The match against the Netherlands will be played during our camp in Austria. The Netherlands are also a very strong team, so we want to prepare as well as possible for this training match and continue our preparations for the AFC U23 Asian Cup Qatar 2024 qualifiers in September.
