Recognising the importance of respect in football, JFA and the J.League launched the “Respect Project” in April 2008. The essence of respect is to always give your best, which is also the principle of fair play. JFA is committed to spreading the spirit of respect for all people and things related to football, with the slogan “to care about others.” As part of this effort, the association is resolutely opposed to all forms of discrimination and violence that manifest in football and sports, and is working to create a world free of discrimination and violence through a number of initiatives, including the establishment of a consultation service.
Through football, we realise the full benefits that sports can bring to our lives
the soundness of our bodies, the expansion of our minds,
and the enrichment of our societies.
