Japan National Futsal Team Spain Trip Report 30 March, Training matches will finally kick off tomorrow
01 April 2014
Day 3 of the Spain Trip.
Expecting a match against a Spain League club the next day, Japan National Futsal Team had two practice sessions in the morning and afternoon to wrap up its final preparation.
The morning session had warm-up, shooting drills and three sets of scrimmages.
Under the lead of its head coach Miguel Rodrigo, players have learned basic principles of the team so far. The mail goal of this trip is to execute them in matches, as the team are looking to reach the next level through scrimmages and actual matches.
In the afternoon, three goalkeepers had their own training for an hour first and joined field players for the full team practice. Since they were expecting a match the next day, the afternoon session finished just with making sure powerplay situations after warming up.
HC Miguel said after the practice that wins and losses are important, but in this trip it is more important for everyone to figure out where we are through playing the matches.

The third practice has finished without any problem after arriving in Spain. We had good practices both in the morning and afternoon, could communicate well among all players, and now can’t wait for matches starting tomorrow. We are Japan’s national team. Saying that it was a good experience to play against Spanish clubs isn’t enough. To win again in the AFC Championship, we will play the matches always with the goal of getting both good details and the good end result.
