Licensed Coaches Training Course

With the aim of improving the level of coaches, JFA organises various licensed coaches training courses to meet the needs of everyone. People who complete JFA's licensed coaches training courses, will receive the JFA official license.

Licensed Coaches Training Course
Everyone can participate! ( Class C, D over 18, Kids' leader over 16)
Class C, D, Kids' leader training courses' schedule, venues and fees are determined by prefectural football associations ( there are some exceptions). People who wish to participate, should check courses' outlines and details on the website of the prefectural football association to which they belong.
Official Class S Coach training course

As well as coaching practice with pseudo- teams, various curriculums with the aim of acquisition of management and negotiation skills are prepared. Participants are requested to have advanced problem finding ability and solving skills.

Promoters Japan football Association, Japan Professional Football League
Qualifications Official Class A coaches, who has obtained excellent results at the Official Class A coach training course and whose coaching results and competitions results were recognized by JFA Technical Committee.
Full quota Coaches whose results were particularly recognized by the Technical Committee ( coaches who has obtained a license in foreign country etc.) 20 (for 2014)
Participation fee Participation fee for the course 300,000 yen (Accommodation fees for domestic short-term training courses, verification fees are included)
※Transportation fees to the venue, accommodation fees for intensive courses, expenses for the internship are not included in this participation fee.

Official Class A Coach general training course

In order to improve the level of coaching ability, in 「Specialized course」, two participants, in pairs, establish a training menu according to a selected theme and put it in practice in coaching practice.

Qualifications
  1. 1. People with the Official Class B Coach qualification, who, after the Class B training course, has experienced more than 1 year of of practical coaching.
  2.  2. Results of Class B coach training courses will be taken into account.
Full quota 120 (30 ×4 courses )
Participation fee 150,000 yen
※Accommodation fee (1night 3meals about 10,000 yen)・transportation fees should be paid by participant separately.

Official Class B coach training course

It is a course which purpose is to understand football in all its aspects and to acquire basic knowledge and coaching skills. From 2007 it is possible to take some of the 「common subjects 」 through e-learning.

Qualifications People who are over 22 on 31st March 2011.
Official Class C coach ( the old Official local sports instructor Class C) qualification is requested.
Full quota 512(32×16 courses)
Participation fee 80,000 yen
※Accommodation fees(1night 3meals about 10,000 yen)、transportation fees should be paid by participant separately

Official Class A Coach U-12 training course

A course with a more specialized curriculum with the purpose of develop coaching specialists by age.

Promoter Japan Football Association
Qualification Coaches who has at least Class Bcoach license, who is related with coaching U-12 and who is able to do the coaching demonstration.
Full quota 32
Participation fee 100,000 yen
※Transportation fee, accommodation fee (1night about10,000 yen )、and participation fee, transportation fee accommodation fee for the internship should be paid by participant separately.

Official Class C coach training course

Is a course which curriculum is focused on coaching U-12, on football's essence, playing principles, growth and development. Held format, depends from each prefectural football association.

Cooperator Prefectural Football Association
supervise J-League, Universities, Junior Colleges, Professional Schools recognized by JFAJ-League, Universities, Junior Colleges, Professional Schools recognized by JFA
Qualifications for 2009, people who are over 18 on 31st March 2009.
Instructors who are doing sports in their municipality or who is going to be an instructor.
Full quota maximum 40 for 1 course
Curriculum outline 【Lecture】
-Growth and development, technique/tactics theory, coaching methods, planning etc. 13 hours
【Practice 】
-Ball feeling, stealing the ball ~ shoot etc. 22 hours. Also coaching practice is done.

Official Class D coach training course

A curriculum in which contents of Official Class C coach training courses are concentrated in 2 days ( total 9.5 hours) in order to develop coaches of the grassroots

Qualifications for 2009, people who are over 18 on 31st March 2009.
Instructors who are doing sports in their municipality or who is going to be an instructor.
Full quota maximum 40 people for 1 course
Curriculum outline 【Lectures】
-Growth and development, technique/ tactics theory, role of the coach etc. 5 hours
【Practice】
-ball feeling, small side game etc. 4.5 hours.

Official Kids' leader training course

A very compact curriculum of 1.5 hour of practice and 1.5 of lecture which everyone can enjoy.

Official Goal Keeper Class A coach training course

Qualifications People who has at least Official Class B coach license and also Official Goal Keeper Class B License and are coaching goal keepers.

Qualifications ※please note that qualifications for participation are changed.
People who has both Official Class B coach (the old Official Class C Coach) and Official Goal keeper Class C coach license and are coaching goal keepers.

Qualifications people who has the Official Class C Coach (the old local sports instructor Class C・associate instructor) qualification and is coaching goal keepers.
Full quota 180 (30 for each course, total 6 courses)

Official Futsal Class B coach training course

Qualifications People who actually has Official Futsal Class C license
People who are coaching specifically futsal
people who are able to stay accommodation places designed by JFA and who are able to
participate with responsibility to all of the training courses.
People who, in future, are expected to be instructors of official Futsal Class C training courses' lecturers.

Qualifications people who actually has at least JFA's Official Class C coach license.
People who actually are coaching futsal or football
people who are able to stay accommodation places designed by JFA and who are able to participate to all of the 2 nights 3 days training courses.
