Comment of TEGURAMORI Makoto, Head Coach

Having fixtures of first round qualifier set, I want to switch on the players’ desire for finally getting started. This is applicable to not only the players selected this time but also all the players eligible for the Olympics. I made selection of the squad based on the players from the Asian Games and mixed the players of under category and playing overseas. I wanted to show this selection’s aim is to encourage competition among players and make thicker axis. I want the chosen member to show potentiality for achieving excellent results at the Olympics and I would advise players who was not chosen this time to keep their attention for the qualifying round to start next year. I believe only the ones who realize upcoming intensity and has commitment for developing Japan football, are entitled to play on pitch of the Olympics qualifiers.
