1,200 kids participated in “JFA UNIQLO Soccer Kids”in Nagoya Dome

“JFA UNIQLO Soccer Kids” is a fun-to-play football event for all kids of 6 years and under, except elementary school students. About 1,200 kids participated in the 8 July event at Nagoya Dome, Aichi prefecture. Former Japanese international, Jo Shoji, was invited as a special guest and played with the kids.
We created a better environment for welcoming more kids to this event by changing the name of this event, logo, and the registration process. At the event venue, we placed an “interview board” which allows participants to take photos. To enjoy the event as much as possible, we showed comments and feedback of the participants on a big TV screen at the venue.

For the kids joined the event today, please speak about the things enjoyed most to their father and mother when go back to your home. For parents and brothers came for supporting your kids, I am sure your kids played very well today. Please try to remember three good plays of your kids and praise them. I would like to extend my gratitude to Uniqlo Co., Ltd and other parties supported this event. Thank you very much.

Comment from a participant team leader

TOBA Mayumi, OKUMURA Namie
I participated in this event three years in a row. I really enjoyed it very much. It seems to me the event was much exciting with more participants joined than last year. I didn’t expect the event becomes big as this year in the beginning. I saw a good play of kids today. Three years ago when my kid was three years old, my kid was playing just for fun. My kid started to attend a football school starting April this year for much more than just fun and showed me the result. Having participated in this event for three years now, he played a proper game looked like a football game and luckily scored a goal. Surely he came to like football more than ever and has bigger dream for the future.
